High art can seem as unapproachable as public policy. Both have closed circles of experts, they sometimes require their own language to talk about them, and they give some people a feeling of “why bother?” Just like our shows about public policy, we’re going to show audiences that art isn’t big or scary and is easy to understand and amazing. During informal conversations with curators, artists, and staff, we’ll explore different sides of what goes on in the art world. We’ll talk about artistic masters and explore some of the secrets of the museum. Each show starts at 7:00pm. MIA Members receive a discount! All shows will be held in the Pillsbury Auditorium.
