Dr. Nekima Levy-Pounds: President of the Minneapolis NAACP
In less time than it takes to refine a bottle of Tabasco, Neighborhoods Organizing for Change, or NOC, has built a member-led organization aimed at "building power in under-resourced communities and communities of color across the Twin Cities." We'll ask NOC's executive director, Anthony Newby, about the challenges and opportunities facing these communities.
SPECIAL ADDITION: Dr. Nekima Levy-Pounds of the University of St. Thomas and president of the Minneapolis NAACP will join us as well. We'll ask Dr. Levy-Pounds about the Black Lives Matter movement in Minneapolis,

Finnegans Food Drive
The Theater of Public Policy is thrilled to be partnering with Finnegans. Together we’ll drink beer and feed the hungry.
At each show this season, audience members can bring a non-perishable canned good to the Bryant Lake Bowl. In exchange they’ll receive $2 off a Finnegans. PLUS: T2P2 will collect all the donations in a single barrel, and on the night that barrel is filled, everyone in the audience will receive a free Finnegans!
What is the show?
Our interview based show is a powerful medium for exploring issues and bringing them to life using theater. All of the ideas and challenges brought up in this conversation serve as the inspiration for the improvised scenes to follow. The improvisers tasks are not to make light of the issues or mock the players involved. Instead, scenes make the previous conversation come to life with living, breathing characters in the situations described. It’s a show unlike any other.
