Ale Matos, Star Tribune
Christopher Magan, Pioneer Press
Beth Hawkins, Education Post
School's back in session, and before everyone goes on Thanksgiving break, we're going to talk with THREE of the smartest people covering education in Minnesota. We'll ask Ale Matos of the Star Tribune, Chris Magan of the Pioneer Press, and Beth Hawkins of Education Post (formerly of MinnPost) about the big education issues facing Minnesota. How can we close achievement gap? Who will the new Minneapolis schools superintendent be? Will they loan Tane their Algebra II notes?

Finnegans Food Drive
The Theater of Public Policy is thrilled to be partnering with Finnegans. Together we’ll drink beer and feed the hungry.
At each show this season, audience members can bring a non-perishable canned good to the Bryant Lake Bowl. In exchange they’ll receive $2 off a Finnegans. PLUS: T2P2 will collect all the donations in a single barrel, and on the night that barrel is filled, everyone in the audience will receive a free Finnegans!
What is the show?
Our interview based show is a powerful medium for exploring issues and bringing them to life using theater. All of the ideas and challenges brought up in this conversation serve as the inspiration for the improvised scenes to follow. The improvisers tasks are not to make light of the issues or mock the players involved. Instead, scenes make the previous conversation come to life with living, breathing characters in the situations described. It’s a show unlike any other.
