Every three years, electric utility Xcel Energy prepares a resource plan to decide where we'll get our electricity. While there's nothing funny about 65% of our power plants nearing retirement age, this comedy night explains why there's plenty to laugh about --and a lot at stake-- in this purportedly public process.
A panel of 3 trusted leaders will respond to questions both from the audience (You!) and from an interviewer. Together, our panelists will provide content for the Theater of Public Policy cast of improvisational comedians to go to town with acting out metaphors and suspenseful jokes about long-term planning!
The panel includes Gabe Chan who is a professor of Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at UMN, St. Paul City Council member Mitra Jalali Nelson, and John Farrell of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance.
