We’re thrilled to have veteran editorial writer and one of the smartest political observers in Minnesota as our guest this Thursday. Lori Sturdavent has covered state politics for more than 30 years. Her appreciation for the historical context of present political fights make her columns both engaging and valuable to readers across the ideological spectrum.
We’ll talk with Lori about the 2012 legislative session, which is already off to a bumpy start. 2011’s session was historic for a lot of reasons, few of them good: gridlock, a government shutdown, and a deal “we can all be disappointed in.” Is there any hope 2012 will be any better? What will it all mean for the fall elections? More importantly, what will it mean for Minnesotans in the months and years to come?
As always, we’ll unpack the issues and debates through improv comedy. With the Minnesota Legislature as our topic, there should be no shortage of material.
The show starts at 7pm, Thursday (February 9) at HUGE Theater. Tickets are $5. See you there!
